Atlanta With a 2 Year Old. Whew!

This past weekend we took our first family trip to Atlanta since Daddy was headed there to take his oral boards exam. Miss A did well on the flight down. The first night we were there, we went to see the laser light show at Stone Mountain. We all really enjoyed it, except for being packed in with 1000's of others! The fireworks at the end got to be a little much for Miss A. She didn't cry, but she was definitely shaking. The whole walk back to the car, all she would say was "Boom!" and point to the sky. We must have heard this 50+ times! The next morning we went back to enjoy the park. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun seeing the attractions!

Miss A chopping at some grass with her putt putt club. Yes, her sunglasses are on upside down and her hat is backwards. Hey, she has her own sense of style!
Daddy teaching her how to putt correctly!

On the train around the base of Stone Mountain.

She was so excited to ride a "choo choo"!

Searching high and low for every possible pebble to take home with us!

On top of the world!

We had lunch one day at the Varsity. Not sure why we made a point to go there since the food is frankly pretty gross, but it is an Atlanta institution, so off we went! Miss A and I played it safe with our naked dogs, but Daddy got some sort of chili burger. He was not impressed! We did however enjoy our Frosty Orange drinks. Miss A kept taking mine!

She had more Frosty Orange than I did!
After lunch at the Varsity we headed over to the World of Coca-Cola. We really enjoyed the tour and displays that they had. Miss A got so excited when she saw the Polar Bear from their winter commercials so we got in line for a pic. However, once we got close she started crying and was crawling all over me to escape! Now look at this bear, how can anyone be scared of him!?!? He's so cute!! (He sat down and started crying when Adelyn did because she hurt his feelings! Too funny! I think he was also trying to not be bigger than her. Didn't help!)

All was right with the world when Miss A got her free cup of Hi-C at the end of the tour!

Miss A was not too thrilled about swimming on this trip. She did not want in the water, even if Daddy was going to hold her. Her favorite thing to do was sit on the edge and splash.
Miss A and Daddy at the very end. This was as wet as she would get!
